Happy 22^nd anniversary to the most amazing parents and couple I have ever met.

You guys have been the best example I could ever possibly ask for, for a godly marriage. Thank you so much for that.

Dad, thank you for always seeking the Lord’s heart, first. Thank you for always respecting Mom. Thank you for being the man of the house. Thank you for being full of patients and grace. Thank you for being the provider and protector. Thank you for being a team with Mom and empowering her. Thank you for giving me an amazing example of what a godly husband should be. I hope that my kids will be able to say the same about their daddy, one day.

Mom, thank you for always seeking the Lord’s heart, first. Thank you for always respecting Dad and trusting in his decisions. Thank you for showing me what it looks like to be a submissive wife. Thank you for loving Dad..yes, even in front of me- you’re still my parents so it’s still gross, but your marriage is beautiful and so so admired and cherished. Thank you for being a wife and a mother before anything else. Thank you for being the most incredible example I could possibly ask for as to what a godly submissive, loving wife looks like. If I never succeed at anything else, I hope that I can be the wife that you are and the mother that you are.

There is not a single marriage that I don’t compare to yours, and of course none of them even compare. Okay, maybe the Smiths, they are pretty dang close. Being away from you guys and under leadership of so many other couples I have really seen what I want my future marriage to look like, yours. The older I get the more I realize how great you are…yes yes I know, just like you’ve been telling me for the past 20 years that I would. I pray that Micah, Jacob and Abbey will realize the same and SOON. I pray that they never take advantage of what we’ve been given and that we all are one day blessed with a marriage that will be as beautiful of an example of Christ and his bride as you guys have been for the past 22 years.

I can’t praise you guys enough for the ways that I am grateful for you as parents. I miss y’all sooo much! Hope your anniversary is great! I love you lots!

First of all, I've not been taught this at all, this actually disagrees with everything I've been taught. This is completely my opinion and evaluation of my experiences, throughout my life, not just here at YWAM. Maybe I am completely wrong, and I'm totally flirting with predestination/free will ideas. I'm not asking you to agree with me, nor cause controversy, I just want you to open your mind to the simplicity of God's will. How theology and religion isn't what it's about. God never told us to figure it all out, so don't stress- because you can't, and you wont.

Love God, love people.

Simplicity.

I think that God gave you free will. He's defiantly put specific calling on specific peoples lives, but not necessarily everyone. Such as Moses, God clearly put a very specific calling on his life. But just because he hasn't given one to you does NOT mean that he loves you any less. It's like healing, sometimes he does sometimes he doesn't. Is there a reason? Not most of the time, it's just how life is because sin entered the world. I think that a vase majority of the time God lets people choose.

What do you want to do? Be an engineer.

Great love me and love my people while you're an engineer.

Where do you want to go? Alaska.

Cool, love me and love my people while you're an engineer in Alaska.

God knows what you're going to choose, but he doesn't choose it for you. If he chose it for you, there would be no sin. You don't wake up in the morning with a to do list from God that says take 7 steps to the bathroom pee, use this many sheets a toilet paper and use this many ounces of this kind of shampoo while you use this many gallons of water in the shower... He gives you a choice.

You want a to do list? Here it is- Matt 28:16-20

1. Make disciples of all nations.
2. Baptize them
3. Teach them to obey everything I have commanded (Matt 22:36-38)

Teacher, what is the greatest commandment of all? Jesus replied "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. and the second is to love your neighbor as yourself"

So much has been put into the second part of number one (to all nations) that these 'Radical Christians' are missing the simplicity because they think its all about where you go, not what you do. Radical Christians are more concerned with the path than the goal! If God was worried about the path it took to get to the destination he probably would have given you a map, but he is sovereign, almighty and fully in control so he didn't have to give you a map.

God doesn't need you, but he likes you, so he's going to let you help him.
Moms, do you NEED your 3 year old daughter to help you make cookies? No, but you like her and you enjoy her help.
Dads, do you need your 3 year old son to help you change the oil? No, but you like him and you enjoy his help.

Get married and raise Godly men and women; you're teaching you kids (Luke 6:47-48) to love God and to love people, you are living out the great commission. You're making disciples, you're baptizing them and you're teaching them to love God and love others.

Maybe you want to be a world changer so badly that THAT is the cross that you're picking up and dying to. (Luke 9:23)
Maybe it's not about WHAT you're doing its the state of your HEART. 1 John 3:18
Maybe it JUST OKAY to be an engineer and live in Alaska. You don't have to be with an organization or a group, you are a group- YOU ARE THE CHURCH.

Use the gift God gave you, you can't marry the wrong person, divorce is not okay, love is a choice, JUST LOVE JESUS. It's not going to make everything rosy, but its sure as crap going to give you all the answers! You just have to love God and love people.

If God has given you a heart to be a mommy THAT'S OKAY, HE gave you that heart, you don't have to do it in the deepest darkest places of the earth! No one can change the world, but you, with the authority you carry through the power and love of Jesus, can change a community.
Maybe the Great Commission was meant to be started within your family; family to community, community to state, state to nation, nation to world: world = all nations. I don't believe that everyone is called to over seas missions, that's not what the great commission says.

I've never been taught this and it's not with a rebellious heart that I write these things.

But what if every family in JUST Rome and Floyd county (96,317 people) lived this way? Then how fast and easily would this wild fire burn?

"His holy fire may bring judgment to the wicked, but it builds humility, faith and purity in those who seek an ever-deeper relationship with Jesus. For He promises to bring His faithful remnant "through the fire" and to "refine them as silver is refined." Then, when finished, He "will say, ‘This is My people’; and each one will say, 'The Lord is my God.'" (Zechariah 13:9)

They're extremely hard to capture, but after finally

setting everything up correctly, you just might catch that perfect moment.

So, when my friend asked if I would take a picture

to be the center piece in a room and told me

that he had a night time theme in mind....

Then I got over it.

Nail salons are an intimidating place!

Making Plans

Funny how He lets your plans "happen", but doesn't let them "happen" the way YOU plan them.

I've always been a "planner" the kind of person that lays in bed at night and plans out their whole next day, minute by minute. I guess high school allows it to be that way for you. You know that every single day you have to wake up by 6:15am to be ready to leave for school by 7:35am to be able to drop off the siblings, and get to first block by 8:05am. You know that to get to work by 5:00pm you have to leave the house by 4:42pm.

I wont be returning to The University of West Georgia next semester. For many reasons, but number one I didn't feel as if that is was The Lord's plan for me.
Maybe because I wasn't growing, maybe because there are people that need me, people that I need, maybe I needed more time to grow with my family.
He might have sent me to fall on my face, to cause me to open my eyes, to show me that I am nothing without Him, that my parents were right all along.
Doesn't matter how many times they told me, I just HAD to find out for myself.
[Note to self: grow up, quit being so stubborn]

I was so excited to get out of Rome, to start my own life and just simply excited with MY plans for MY future, but The Lord quickly showed me that MY plans were not HIS plans.

I struggled horribly with school, relationships, and myself over all as an alone, immature, venerable person that thought she was a lot stronger than she found herself to be.

I've applied for an 18 month overseas missionary/ photography program and I should be hearing back from very soon. Once I hear back I will be sure to inform you all!

So my mom right? great lady!! Strong, encouraging, Godly, friendly, out going, smart..wait I'll say wise- maybe not smart, but she is very wise, and BEAUTIFUL!!!..Anyways she's great no lie- drives me a little bit insane but hey if it wasn't for insanity we wouldn't appreciate things!

and I sure as heck appreciate her!

WELL! Know who she appreciates?!..other than her loving husband, her awesome God, and amazing friends (no, she doesn't appreciate us- her children) Pioneer Woman, PW, Ree Drummond.

Whatever you want to call her my mother loves her!!

I've been kicked off the computer countless times so that she can catch up on what PW had for lunch, want she gave her special ed brother a hard time about today, what Marlboro Man, her husband, did on the ranch today, the pictures she took of her horses, what she taught her kids today (she's a homeschooler) and most recently- she's written a cook book, The Pioneer Woman Cooks: Recipes from an Accidental Country Girl, and is now touring the country going to book stores for signings.

Whats Young Moms?

Young Moms is a non-profit organization providing help for teen parents in our community. They meet on the first and last Monday of every month, during the school year. Going on its 3rd year Young Moms averages 13 girls that attend each meeting. At the meetings they provide:
a meal, child care, diapers, a speaker, door prizes, and encouraging leaders!

I mentioned my mom was amazing right? Because she totally came up with this.

So tomorrow my mom will meet Pioneer Woman, give her a YM shirt and hope for the best!

Ian and Kaley Sarrow

Ian, is now her hubby.

Kaley and Ian met while working at the Rome Braves Stadium one summer.

Ian, is in the army.

Kaley and Ian starting dating in August.

..in September Ian was deported to the desert

two weeks after being gone, Ian, virtually 'put a ring on it'

Ian came home for his leave, during his tour, last week, and as planned we did their engagement session!

...after the 'i dos'

while Ian was home they both deiced that a big wedding in the future wasn't that important to them.

So Monday night they got married...

and Tuesday morning, we had the engagement session!

This is my best friend, Taylor.
Next year she plans to attend Shorter College and cheer for their competition cheerleading team.
I'm devastated that we're going separate ways, but excited to see what God has for the both of our lives!

My friend, Hannah, from Texas, was in town this weekend- she fell in love with Berry College (where the pictures where taken) and as a junior in high school is looking into attending Berry in the fall of 2011!

These picture are of my Economics teacher's children. He and his family are amazing people. Originally from Canada until his wonderful wife (Dr. Denise Crawley) took a job in Tiftan, Georgia. They have three awesome kidos two of witch were adopted

Bethany: their only biological child, is in 2nd grade and in the same class as my brother Jacob! She is the kindest child I have ever meet!

Amber is 11; she is literally crazy with all of her mental problems, but she is super cool and loves her picture taken!!
